Great service and easy to deal with-
SAD cars provided easy and quick service. We altered our booking and communication and revised booking was made quickly. Pick up and drop off was also a smooth process would definitely recommend.
I rented the tiniest car they had-
From Facebook reviews:
I rented the tiniest car they had, it was perfect for my 3 days in Iceland. I got gps and a hotspot and definitely needed both of them! Sure, the car was a little beat up. But it did the trick. Airport pick up and check out was a breeze. It was very cold and dark the morning I picked up so neither myself or the employee noticed a big dent on the side of the car. And that was just one thing, there were rust spots, more dents and scratches, I'm not sure if he documented all of them. When I dropped it off to the same employee he mentioned the dent and I said, yeah, I noticed that after I picked it up and reminded him about how cold it was that morning and that we didn't spend too much time looking at the car. He said it was ok. I went to the Reykjavik office the first day as well because I couldn't get the hot spot to work. The employee there fixed me right up. And the woman who dropped me off at the airport was super friendly, I really enjoyed speaking with her.
Couldn't be happier.-
From Facebook reviews:
Couldn't be happier. Booked a Suzuki 4x4 but when i arrived I was upgraded to a brand new ford kuda with every optimal extra. Heated seats. Heated steering wheel(very handy) panoramic roof. Everything!! Even upgraded my insurance for me to! Staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful even booked us a taxi back to the airport. And all at a price far cheaper than all the others. Will defo use again.
We had such a great experience with SADcars! -
From Facebook reviews:
We had such a great experience with SADcars! we originally rented a standard type car for 3 weeks on the ring road and quite frankly, it was in very bad shape. When we told them that it wouldn't do for our trip they immediately switched us to a different car and upgraded us to a 4x4. This second car was fantastic and got us wherever we wanted to go, on the most obscure roads, mountain passes, and F-roads. We did thoroughly document the car by photo and video inside and out before we left the agency, but always do this no matter which company we rent from. When we got a flat tire on a rough dirt road, we called the service line - on a sunday - got an immediate response and they arranged to have the tire replaced the next day in a nearby town. The service at the garage was fast, courteous, and they replaced all four tires. I plan to always rent with SADcars when i'm in Iceland!

Very Good Experience with sadcars!-
From Google reviews:
Very Good Experience with sadcars! The staff is just so nice. We called them in the morning because we spontaneous wanted to rent a car. They said "sure, we can pick you up at 12 o'clock at your hotel" and so it was. Arriving at their office it was very uncomplicated and we got a very nice cheap car. It was pretty new as well. Two days later we had to give the car back :( we asked the pretty lady where the next bus stop is because we wanted to go to the city centre. Another guy from the crew said if we wait a few minutes he can take us with him because he drives in the centre anyways :)
Thank you guys for everything :)
(Already missing the car :( :D)

Had a very cheap, no-fuss experience with SADcars. They shuttled us from the airport quickly and got us set up with our car within a half hour. The car worked beautifully throughout our stay and returning it was painless. Highly recommended!

From Google reviews:
Overall, our experience with SAD cars was positive. We got an amazing 4x4 cars for a very attractive price. I reckon the same car would cost us at least 2x with any other rental company in Iceland. The car was duly maintained and clean. The only complaint we have is that we haven't received any notification by mail about moving the premises to another location in Reykjavik. Same happened when we tried to return the car to the premises close to the airport, which were closed! And we were so stressed out because we had to catch the flight. The staff were nice, however you can get the impression that this is a low-cost company. Nevertheless, we would use their services again. It's totally worth it!
I recently visited Iceland for 2 weeks-
From Tripadvisor: I recently visited Iceland for 2 weeks - travelling from Reykjavik via the Golden Circle to Snæfellsnes and on to the West Fjords. I've hired a lot of cars before through all the major companies but never tried a local firm before and I have to say, it was the best car hire I have ever experienced. Ieland car rental (http://www.icelandcarrental.is/) were cheaper than the International companies, but what really made them great was the personal service and flexibility. I'd booked the smalles car available, but they had none left so they upgraded me to a beautiful Suzuki Grand Vitara 4x4 - perfect for Iceland's rough roads! The owner of the company himself brought the car to where I was staying. The car itself was great - super comfortable, sturdy and reliable. I really enjoyed driving it. When we returned from our road trip we weren't due to stay in Reykjavik again but had assumed we'd have to drop the car off there, but instead, for just £20 the company collected it f
